We had a nice cruise to St Joe. Sunny and a north breeze for minimal waves.
Went under the Grand Haven Bridge at 0830, on the lake by 0900. 8-9 knots down the shoreline in less than 100 feet to the St Joe pier by 1600.
410 gallons of fuel at a cheap $4.07 (ouch)
Tied up to the city park wall which has improved since we were here last. Lights, sculptures. The wall is rough and we put out 5 fenders. Some wind and surge from lake Michigan kept us rolling all night but it's free and secure tied to the wall. We're right upstream of the CSX railway swing bridge and across from the LaFarge dock. A huge Freighter, Integrity, came in after midnight to unload.
Spotted 3 other looper boats:
1) Adios II - Wilmington
2) Seas the Day - Charleston
3)Domestic Squall - Frankfort
Maybe crossing to Chicago today.........
