Looper Shore Dinner Party

We had a couple of neighbors at our anchorage on Sugar Bay...Blue Angel and Adios II came in a couple of nights ago. We had spent time with Blue Angel when they were docked at Port Sheldon for the summer...we're both from Grand Haven and they had provided us some advice to calm our loop startup apprehensions. Adios II was anchored off our home dock on Spring Lake the weekend we left home and we chased them out to Lake Michigan as we began the loop. We called Adios out on the big lake....they'd been on the loop about 6 months....our reply was we'd been on the loop 3 hours!

....our first contacts with Loopers and here they are at our anchorage more than a month later. It's a smaller world on the Loop.

So it was also Matt and Sonya's last night camping at LBL so we had a nice get together at his camp site. Us three Loopers and the landlubbers. I'd caught a few fish and had a nice bunch of fillets, so we did our first Looper Paella on shore. Matt's special...chicken, ribs from the Paducah BBQ Festival and freshwater fish...turned out very tasty....just need some more soccrat on the bottom!

Twins will head back to GTB monday to install a new TV antennae on the boat then head back up the Tenn to our winter base at Aqua Harbor Marina.

Still lovin' it.....
