Sugar Bay

We have moved down to Sugar Bay and found a nice cove off to the south side. Very scenic, deep and protected. Motored over to Matt's campsite for some cards and snacks before returning to the boat for dinner.

Matt and I fished the shoal nearby and picked up quite a few fish. Vaughn and I caught a Sauger (walleye?), then we picked up some silver and hybrid bass....maybe another paella shore dinner in order for tomorrow.....we have three fresh fish on the stringer already.

Had a nice walk in the woods nearby....lots of trees down from the recent winds/hurricanes? but the trails are not heavily used...would be fun to brush it out and bring a camper back in close to here. We are already planning to come back to LBL sometime with our new (old) Born Free camper and a fishing boat.....at $20 each per year we can afford that kind of campsite cost...my kind of backcountry camping....fire rings and picnic tables at some sites too!

Cooling down now...upper fourtys at night but 70's in the daytime and sunny...water cooling but was still 74 degree water yesterday afternoon.
